Theatres
The city of Rome offers a vast amount of culture, including many theatres where you can watch dance, concerts, plays, experimental performances, musicals, recitals and much more. Some of the capital’s most famous stages include the Sistine Theatre, the Brancaccio Theatre and the Parioli Theatre, places that have become part of the collective memory of the city and the nation as a whole, which have seen some of the greatest talents in Italy’s recent history. If you stay in Rome you will be able to watch some of the most suggestive performances inside theatres that have a unique fascination, choosing from a comprehensive and varied programme.
As well as these traditional structures, in 2002 the city of Rome inaugurated the Parco della Musica Auditorium, designed by Renzo Piano, spread over an area of 55.000 m² between Villa Gloria, the Parioli Hill and the Olympic Village, a grandiose structure mainly used for classical music concerts but which has also hosted other recent events, such as the Rome Cinema Festival.
