Day 1 Sunday MILAN - BOLOGNA - SAN MARINO
Meeting with our Tour Guide at your hotel. Departure to San Marino via BOLOGNA, one of Italy’s most important art cities. Visit this fascinating medieval town with its charming squares Piazza Maggiore and Piazza del Nettuno. Proceed to SAN MARINO, the world's smallest and oldest independent Republic, founded in the year 301, as a Christian sanctuary. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2 Monday SAN MARINO - PERUGIA – ROME
Buffet breakfast. Departure to PERUGIA, the charming university town. Visit the impressing Cathedral and the Palazzo dei Priori. Proceed to ROME. Overnight. (Dinner NOT included)
Day 3 Tuesday ROME
Buffet breakfast. Buffet breakfast. In the morning guided sightseeing of Eternal Rome: Republic Square – Spanish Steps (visit) – Trevi Fountain (visit) – Piazza Colonna - Pantheon (visit) – Piazza Navona (visit) Tour ends in S.Peter’s Square – Visit of the Basilica on your own (NO TOUR LEADER DURING THE STAY IN ROME). Afternoon at leisure. Overnight. (Dinner NOT included).
Day 4 Wednesday ROME
Buffet breakfast. Day at leisure for shopping or private sightseeing. Possible optional tours Imperial Rome Piazza Venezia - the Capitol Square (visit) - panoramic view of the Roman Forum and Palatine (visit) – The Roman Forums (Visit) Arch of Constantine – Colosseum (Visit) – San Pietro in Vincoli (visit) Overnight (Dinner NOT included).
Day 5 Thursday ROME - NAPLES - POMPEII – SORRENTO
Early morning departure from Rome for NAPLES, where a short visit of the town is featured. Then on to POMPEII, the famous Roman city destroyed by the volcanic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 a.D. Lunch in a local restaurant, and afterwards, visit of the excavations. ( Approximately 2 hours ). Proceed on to SORRENTO. Dinner and overnight at the hotel
Day 6 Friday SORRENTO - CAPRI - ROME
Continental breakfast . Departure to CAPRI by steamer. Weather and sea conditions permitting, visit the Blue Grotto. Return to Marina Grande and then transfer to Anacapri. Lunch in a typical restaurant followed by a visit of Augustus’ Gardens with a view of the Faraglioni. Return to Rome, at approx. 9.30 p.m..
Day 7 Saturday ROME - ASSISI - SIENA - FLORENCE
Early morning, departure for ASSISI, the mystic town of Saint Francis still surrounded by ancient walls. Visit the Basilica of Saint Francis with its early Renaissance masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue. Proceed on to SIENA, the beautiful medieval city renown for the Palio. Then on to FLORENCE. Dinner and overnight.
Day 8 Sunday FLORENCE
Buffet breakfast. Sightseeing tour of the cradle of the Renaissance. Panoramic visit the beautiful Piazza del Duomo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto's Bell Tower, the Baptistery of St. John, the Academy of Fine Arts Gallery housing the "David" by Michelangelo, and Santa Croce, the 13th century Franciscan church with Cimabue's famous crucifix. Rest of the day at leisure for optional sightseeing or shopping.
Dinner i and overnight.
Day 9 Monday FLORENCE - PADUA - VENICE
Buffet breakfast. Departure for PADUA, where you will visit the famous Cathedral of St. Anthony, guarded by Donatello's "Gattamelata". Continue on to VENICE, and upon arrival enjoy a walking tour of this unique city. You will see the Square and Basilica of St. Mark with the Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs and the Prisons. Dinner and overnight.
Day 10 Tuesday VENICE - ROME
Buffet breakfast. Morning tour to a glass factory in Murano (optional shopping) by motorlaunch. In the afternoon, return to Rome by motorcoach or by train (means of transport is reconfirmed one day or two days before the end of the tour and advised by assistant.) End of the tour and our services.
